News that Adam "MCA' Yauch of the Beastie Boys was battling cancer rocked the music world last year, but 2010 signals a new start for Yauch and the group.

Speaking with EW.com, Yauch revealed where he was at on the road to recovery:

"I feel better... It was touch and go there for a while, but I am finally getting my energy back."

Yauch's diagnosis saw the band cancel all live dates, and push back the release date of their album Hot Sauce Committee Part 1, but Yauch is hoping the album will be ready for a September 2010 release:

"It was really disappointing to have to hold the record... I was just talking to Adam and Mike today... We finished the record over a year ago, so we want to take a look at it and re-evaluate and make sure it is what we want to put out there and that we are still happy with it."
