A release date has been set for lcd soundsystem's highly anticipated third album.

As we reported earlier this week, James Murphy - the brain behind the outfit - confirmed the record had been completed.

Now comes further news including a release date and the album's tracklisting.

The still untitled album will be released on May 18 in the US, which suggests a May 21 release date for Australia.

The album's tracklisting is as follows:

Drunk Girls
One Touch
All I Want
Change
Hit
Pow Pow
Somebody's Calling Me
What You Need

"Drunk Girls" and "Change" are said to be the frontrunners to be the album's lead single.
