Beastie Boys' delayed album Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 1 is one step closer to release.
Speaking with Rolling Stone, Beastie Boys' Mike D confirmed the band are still on track for a September album release.
As we reported earlier in the year, Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 1 was due for release in 2009, but was delayed following Adam lMCA' Yauch's diagnosis and subsequent battle with cancer.
D compared the album process to wine making, explaining: "The writing is the growing of the grapes, and we've already macerated, and at this point, it's been living in a barrel and being stored in bottles in the cellar, and hopefully by September, we will uncork."
Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 1 is currently scheduled for a September release.
