David Guetta has revealed his thoughts on the increasing popularity of dance music.
Speaking with The Guardian regarding the change in perception toward dance music, Guetta was honest as he shared his feelings on the subject, "Dance music is the only genre, until now, where being successful is a bad thing. It puts someone on top and then slaughters them."
Guetta's career is the perfect example, seeing him move from respected Ibiza DJ to world-beating, Grammy Award winning producer. The change doesn't concern Guetta, in fact it's what he's been aiming for, "I have said this many times: I am not trying to be credible, I am trying to be incredible.
"There is always going to be an underground scene and it's really exciting," Guetta explained. "But what makes us strong is that there is some big names, some underground names, and the fact that we are all together makes the whole thing big."
Guetta's latest single, "Gettin' Over You" is available now.
