The Hot Barbeque is turning up the heat in January at possibly Victoria’s best event site, Point Nepean, Portsea. Future Entertainment is proud to announce the addition of legendary Australian rock and roll band, JET.

With releases — 2003’s Get Born and 2006’s Shine On, and now Shaka Rock — Jet broke out of their native Australia and established themselves as a multi-platinum, international success story, merging the charisma and energy of classic rock and roll with just enough punk swagger and contemporary flair to create something uniquely theirs. Here at last is a band that’s returning the cool to rock and roll.

Strap on your apron, get your tongs at the ready and prepare to indulge in a smorgasbord of rich musical treats, because Future Entertainment is returning to the grill in January 2010 and turning up the heat with the biggest Hot Barbeque to date. Now in its third year, Hot Barbeque has forged a solid reputation for delivering an
intelligent, boutique and ultimately unique festival experience for music lovers far and wide. From Indie Rock and Hip Hop to House, Electro, Funk, Soul, and beyond; this dynamic 10-hour sonic feast proudly caters to a diverse range of musical tastes and serves up a mouthwatering selection of the finest artists, performers and DJs from around the globe.

And, from vibrant market stalls and food vendors to roving street performers, art installations and craft demonstrations; this truly eclectic carnival celebrates the senses and affords a cultural kaleidoscope like no other. Having previously resided at Melbourne’s Birrarung Marr and Sidney Myer Music Bowl respectively, 2010 sees the Hot Barbeque juggernaut move to its biggest and most amazing location to date: the picturesque Point Nepean Quarantine Station at Portsea.
Offering spectacular sweeping ocean views, the Point Nepean Quarantine Station is managed by Parks Victoria and promises to provide the perfect location and ultimate scenic
setting for what has fast become one of the nation’s premier open-air musical and cultural events.

Comprising multiple stages featuring the illustrious likes of The Presets, Sneaky Sound System, Grandmaster Flash, Bertie Blackman, Scribe, Lost Valentinos, Scientists of Modern Music, Miami Horror LIVE, Phrase, True Live, John Course, Kaz James, Grant Smillie, Canyons, Knightlife, Ajax, Bang Gang DJ's, Dangerous Dan, Acid Jacks, Andee Frost, Nick Foley plus more international and local artists to be announced shortly.

The Hot Barbeque 2010 will also see the inclusion of several food vendors from the Mornington Peninsula serving up and showcasing the region’s finest and freshest local produce.
So, prepare to embark upon a musical, cultural and culinary journey like no other as Hot Barbeque 2010 folds up the portable grill, and heads South to the Peninsula for a day-long summertime celebration of the finer things in life!

Stay tuned for more details!
