Celebrities and concerned Aussies have taken to Twitter to share their grief, and express their well-wishes, for music legend Molly Meldrum.
Meldrum was found unconscious in his Richmond home last night after reportedly falling while popping up Xmas tree decorations. Meldrum is now in a critical condition in hospital.
Meldrum fans are using the Twitter hashtag #LoveYouMolly to post their messages, and the stream is getting bigger and bigger by the minute.
Pop star Kylie Minogue, whose relationship with Meldrum spans more than a quarter of a century, Tweeted: “#LoveYouMolly. Sending LOTS of love to Molly Meldrum ... Get well soon x :)”
Darren Hayes shared his favourite Meldrum memories. "Growing up, Molly Meldrum delivered all my childhood musical hopes and dreams directly to my living room," he Tweeted.
Comedian Adam Hills also sent well-wishes. "Sending every possible happy and healing thought to Molly Meldrum tonight. "Don't leave us this way." #LoveYouMolly," he wrote.
Wadster4 Tweeted about Meldrum's meaning. "Molly Meldrum is a Aussie Icon more #Melbourne than Flinders Street Station. #loveyoumolly #getwellmolly,” he wrote.
BrissieDeb shared Australia's love for the big man: "Get well Molly, Australia loves you #LoveYouMolly.”
And Gusworldau said life without Meldrum simply wouldn’t be the same. "Really don't want to imagine a world without Molly Meldrum. Hope he recovers. #LoveYouMolly."
