Iceland's volcanic eruption has brought the world to its knees, grounding flights and leaving folks stranded across the world. Though there's one band has beaten the eruption: LCD Soundsystem.
After performing at this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, James Murphy and his band LCD Soundsystem were due to return to Europe to begin their tour in support of album This Is Happening.
Iceland's unfortunate eruption forced them to cancel their dates scheduled for Dublin this week, however they've managed to beat the mayhem and find a way to keep the tour on track.
Somehow the band managed to baord a flight from New York to Spain, announcing via Twitter that they have arrived back in Europe:
"Made it to europe... Spain... Now we drive to london. So bummed to cancel dublin."
While many fans were worried the band wouldn't make the drive to London in time for their April 23 O2 Academy performance, LCD Soundsystem assured them they would:
"we will make it to london. we're working on a tome to make up dublin. need to find a date for us and venue.
LCD Soundsystem's third album This Is Happening will be released on May 17.
