A recent interview with Flare Magazine sees Nelly Furtado open up about the impact dance music and the genre's flagship artists like Tiesto have on music fans.

Furtado, who worked with Tiesto on "Who Wants To Be Alone" and additional tracks for forthcoming album Lifestyle, spoke of the dance influences included on her forthcoming album Lifestyle, in particular the club-anthem "Free".

"I feel like I've come full circle with ["Free"]," Furtado explained. "I started off in the dance scene when I was an independent artist, so recording it was natural for me.

"I believe dance music can be emotional. If you watch [Tiesto] play live, tears will come to your eyes because the music moves you."

Lifestyle is expected to be released in 2010.
