The hype that has been building for months over Skrillex's highly awaited EP has come to a climax. Earlier this week, the date was confirmed by Big Beat, OWSLA and Skrillex, himself.

Twitter was in meltdown with people all refreshing beatport like mad, trying to grab it as soon as it went live. It went live, the EP was officially on sale on beatport.com – iTunes and other markets would come on sale at a later date, still to be confirmed.

Red spray–painted Skrillex logo and EP title on concrete, under some smashed as @#$% glass, the cover art makes you aware of the treat you are in for, but cover art is not the music – bring the noise.

Right In, the opening track is a big tune. Skrillex purists will enjoy this classic sound and arrangement that many fans have come to love; hard–edged, ugly and beautiful all at once. The pre-drop sample "it's another one" will be the signal at festivals and clubs for the kids to go crazy.

Bangarang feat. Sirah. Title track. Opens with a nice little guitar inspired riff and vocal sample, that reminds me of BT, then the big bass kicks in. "Shouts to all my lost boys, we rowdy – Bangarang". This track is huge. Massive. So shouts to all our lost boys...

Breakn' A Sweat, fans will be no stranger to this track – Skrillex and The Doors collaborate to produce something that is pure genius. The only thing that could make this song better, is if Mr Morrison was still alive and adding to the vocals. Proof, all genres and artists can work together to produce musical gold, no matter the difference in age. Rock n' Dubstep.

The Devil's Den, such a great track name for Skrillex – as if you've seen him live, his shows end up a hot fiery 'den'. With a typical Skrillex progression and arrangement, heavy disjointed bassline which is sure to have the kids in a frenzy makes way for a breakdown that is beautiful. Wolfgang Garter's involvement in this track is apparent and together, Skrillex and the Gang have produced, what could almost be my favourite song on the release – if I could pick a favourite.

Right On time. Skrillex along with tour buddies and friends Kill The Noise and 12th Planet come together to create something new and totally awesome, about as far removed from a Skrillex song as you can get, the syncopated beats and vocals just work. This song will be high on rotation in clubs – even from DJ's that would not usually spin a Skrillex song. I keep hitting the repeat button.

Kyoto feat. Sirah, the second track on the release to feature the vocals of Sirah. "Yo Skrill, drop it hard"  and he does. Classic Skrillex tune with melodic synths chopping and changing up with heavy distorted baselines then you get to the rap towards the end of the track – killer. The music, the lyrics and execution, "bass makes that b%#ch c@#" – Borgore would almost be jealous.

Six songs in, the EP has been Bangarang'n all over the place here, but theres still one track to listen to… and fittingly, its the closing track.

Summit feat. Ellie Goulding, this song is beautiful and the perfect way to close out the release. Atmospheric beats, heavily effected vocals and a beautiful breakdown by Ellie. This track is deserving of closing the EP.

From Skrillex himself, "But I would say that I the Ep really flows well so get the whole thing and take a listen front to back while doing active things like watering plants, robbing banks, etc"

Bangarang. Skrillex. Massive. If you buy any release over the holidays, grab this.
