Sneaky Sound System’s collaboration with Tiesto, the track "I Will Be Here," has this week taken the #1 spot on the influential US Billboard Dance Airplay chart.
"I Will Be Here" is the lead single from Tiesto’s current album Kaleidoscope, and Sneaky Sound System appears alongside Calvin Harris, Tegan & Sara, Nelly Furtado and Jonsi (Sigur Ros). This is a major achievement for Sneaky Sound System’s Miss Connie and Black Angus, who have spent most of 2009 in the UK and Europe (three tours) and the US (two tours).
It follows the #1 UK club chart for "It’s Not My Problem," residencies at Pacha Ibiza, including a main-room show supporting Erick Morillo, and Club Paradise Mykonos, sold out London shows at Koko and Shepherds Bush Empire, and four singles playlisted at Radio 1. Sneaky’s album 2 debuted at #1 here in Australia, where I Will Be Here has spent three months on the ARIA Club Chart.
Sneaky Sound System is back in Australia for a limited number of shows across the summer. They will be appearing at next week’s ARIA Awards, where they have been nominated for Best Dance Release and Best Independent Release, and will then continue work on their third album, slated for release late 2010. Black Angus is currently in the midst of a national club tour with Dangerous Dan promoting their You Only Live Once mix CD, out now through MOS/Universal.
