A lighting technician hired by Sneaky Sound System has been sentenced to five months jail for drug trafficking.
According to The Examiner, Jamie Centofanti, has arrested at Launceston Airport in February after a drug detection dog indicated he was carrying a banned substance.
After a search police found 17.7 grams of cocaine in 23 separate bags. Centofanti claimed he had forgotten he was carrying 22 of the bags.
Despite admitting he had no intention of selling the banned substance, a jury convicted him of drug trafficking and he was sentenced to five months jail.
Centofanti was in Launceston as part of the production crew for Sneaky Sound System's performance at MS Fest this year.
