If you’re in Sydney or Perth, Stereosonic is only ONE WEEK AWAY, while Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide folk it’s have to wait only TWO WEEKS!
Novanation have chatted to the amazing lineup of Stereosonic performers and here’s what you should expect from their live sets. Also, they tell Novanation what they’re looking forward to experiencing in Australia and at the festival.
The Crookers – “Australian fans are hardcore. They know the tracks and are specific in what they like. Most of the time they go to see an act, it’s because they know, not just to go and have drinks! So much music has come out and our set is changing, we don’t plan a set, we just play whatever we like, we’ll just see in November/December!”
How can you go past their amazing remix of Kid Cudi’s “Day N Nite”?
Fedde Le Grand – “I’m looking forward to everything, because so far Australia has never disappointed me before. So I’m just looking forward to the whole tour. It will be nice to get out of Europe because the weather is of course not getting better! I just love the crowd in Australia and the sun and the festivals.”
Fedde LeGrand’s new hit single “Let Me Be Real” will obviously go OFF on the day, but how can you resist his deliciously sexy song and clip “Let Me Think About It”?
Bag Raiders– “Festivals are a total buzz, playing all our songs and remixes and seeing the people’s reactions. The number of people at festivals is always great too. We’ve been loving the reaction to ‘Shooting Stars’”
Speaking of “Shooting Stars”, this is likely to be the hit of the festival, already getting flogged nationwide! Check out the amazing clip below.
John Dahlback – “I’m going to see everything, whatever I have time for! It’s not the smallest country in the world!”
Fans can expect John Dahlback to pump out his track “Out There”, which will cause an eruption on the dance floor.
Chicane – “I work with my full band and we kind of push the envelope of dance music live. It’s not the easiest thing to translate. It’s not like we’re Coldplay or Snow Patrol and its acoustic. There’s a lot of electronic. We’re really looking forward to it. It’s a big show, we put on a proper show!”
Here’s a taste of what you can expect on the day!
Dragonette – “It’s super exciting! We got to have a taste last year. It’s going to be fun to come back with this new record. The audiences there excite a band beyond, they go above and beyond to excite a band and get us in the mood.”
Will they or won’t they play their official anthem of summer “Boys & Girls” without Martin Solveig?
Juan Kidd– “I would love to live in Australia. The way of live and weather is fantastic! Festivals are the best obviously. I think because it’s outside, with me being English, the weathe and the crowd make a day of it and it makes the atmosphere electric.”
Juan Kidd’s DJ dexterity is going to cause a fuss at Stereosonic.Check out “Now You’re Gone” – apologies on the picture that comes up, it was the only youtube radio edit!
