Australia’s ITM Top 50 reigning champ and Brisbane’s biggest DJ export is making his way across the valley to a brand new bi-monthly residency at The Met where tyDi will present Global Soundsystem - the next episode! The first of many shows to come will be on Friday March 5th which will be recorded live for Novanation.
2009 was a phenomenal year for the 22 years young DJ/producer who celebrated a long list of accolades including taking out the #1 spot in the ITM Top 50 DJ Poll for a second time, coming in at #52 in the DJ Mag Top 100 World Poll, mixing compilations for Ministry of Sound and releasing his debut artist album ‘Look Closer’. To close the year in class form, tyDi launched Global Soundsystem, his very own radio show which is now aired in over 20 countries.
The new residency at The Met will not only be just a place for Brisbane party goers to catch their local hero in action, but also to be a part of an exclusive live recording of Global Soundsystem in conjunction with Novanation which air his show weekly. tyDi wanted the rest of the world and our country to be a part of his sound and the magic shows that happen in his home town so it seems this was the perfect opportunity to take it to the people. Every two months tyDi will be playing an exclusive 3 hour set and later in the year he will be bringing some International DJ friends of his along for the ride.
