The Prodigy really are an act that need no introduction. Since they formed 20 years ago, they have sold nearly 20 million records thanks to a series of international hits.
Experiencing major success in the UK in the early nineties with “Charly”, “Everybody”, “Fire”, “Out of Space” and “No Good”, the band were unstoppable – Producing an innovative sound that also appealed to the mainstream. In 1996, they released their biggest hit, “Firestater”, a song so anthem-like, it achieved global domination, peaking at no.1 in The UK and no.2 here in Australia. It was their first song to break into the international spotlight.
Following this up with “Breathe” and “Smack My Bitch Up”, The Fat of the Land went on to sell millions and was nominated for a Grammy.
After a long hiatus, the band have come back swinging. In the last couple of years, they’ve celebrated mainstream success again with “Omen”, “Warrior’s Dance” and “Take Me To Hospital”..
