INFO:
Lucy Love does her own style of grime/urban/rap. With a thousand kilometers per hour, she crashes over the beats, and boldly spits rhymes about everything else that others are rapping about.

With a driving flow and colorful rhymes, it's no wonder Lucy Love has been described as one of the most interesting Scandinavian artists right now. She is without a doubt an example of how a new generation of talented youth is taking over northern Europe.
The controversial debut single 'No V.I.P.' is making its way across the world. In this lively underground hit, Lucy questions todays celebrity-culture and the hysterical chase for money, stardom and bling.
'No V.I.P.' is being aired on Danish national radio, as well as the UK radios such as Rinse FM and on stations around the world.

The No V.I.P. music video is being aired on MTV UK, MTV TWO and BASS. The video was nominated for a clipaward by Backup Festival in Germany.

Lucy Love has together with producer and musical mentor Yo Akim, with a mic and a groovebox, delivered the wildest live shows in venues like Tape Club (Berlin), Vega (Copenhagen), Inkonst (Malmo, Sweden), Ungdomshuset (Copenhagen), Stengade 30 (Copenhagen), Graa Hal (Copenhagen, Christiania), Mejeriet (Lund, Sweden) , Smaalands Nation (Lund, Sweden), Turbinehallerne (Copenhagen), Det Frie Gymnasium (Copenhagen), Operaen (Copenhagen, Christiania), Stoeberiet (Copenhagen), Astra Stube (Hamburg), Huset i Magstraede (Copenhagen), Numusic Festival (Stavanger, Norway), Strøm Festival (Copenhagen), Trailer Park Festival (Copenhagen) etc.

Yo Akim is like a dinosaur in Danish music, and has produced and influenced numberless of artist such as Little T/Natasja, Karen Mukupa and his band Bass & Trouble.Yo Akims bouncy and sub-dominated beats, together with Lucys colorful rap, tight flow and honest lyrics, opens a hidden door to diversity and originality.

In the beginning of 2008, Lucy Love and Yo Akim was invited to play live at the legendary underground radio station Rinse FM. Rinse FM has played an active role in breaking stars like Dizzee Rascal among many others.

On July 2nd 2008, Lucy Love & Yo Akim performed at Europes largest music festival, Roskilde Festival. The concert received a massive positive response and 5 star reviews in national papers.
At the same time, they released Lucy Love EP. The EP quickly became the best selling CD on the festival.

Now Lucy Love is nominated by Danish national radio P3, in the category 'this year's experiment', in their annual awardshow 'P3 Gold'. Lucy Love has also just received a nomination by Danish DJ Awards as 'best urban' for the single 'No V.I.P.''

Lucy Love have just finished her debutalbum, together with Yo Akim as producer. The album 'Superbillion' is coming February 23rd 2009. Expect big things.

There is no doubt that Lucy Love will bring us more electrifying musical-experiences in the future.

In mid January, Lucy released her new single 'Daddy Was A DJ'.

This electro club-banger is a true story and tribute to her father, DJ Ronnie Bass aka. Funky Ronnie. The to-become-hit, immediately got added to Danish national radios play list.
